Continuing winds and snow have forced them down, and they will be headed to basecamp tonight, and hope to fly to Talkeetna tommorow. This is the unfortunate reality of any big adventure like this, the outcome is not guaranteed. I'm sure that we have some dissapointed climbers, but after more than a week of waiting, they are going to appreciate the showers and cheeseburgers that await them in Talkeetna. They gave it a good shot and should all feel good about the effort. This will be the final entry for this group unless they get stuck in basecamp for a while(with their luck they may). Thanks for tuning in.

Still Waiting

The weather hasn't been cooperating lately. They are still at the 14,000 camp hoping for a break in the wind and snow. Winds above them at the 17,000 camp have been gusting over 60mph today, so they are happy to be at the relative comfort of the 14,000 foot basin. The prediction is for the weather to settle down tonight and thru tommorow, so we hope it is accurate. They are starting to run out of time to wait, so they need to get a break soon. If they do get a chance they will be moving to the 17K camp tommorow.
